We believe the finest leather goods begin with exceptional materials and are brought to life through thoughtful craftsmanship. Every hide is carefully hand selected for its character, texture, and ability to develop a rich patina through years of use. Scratches soften, colours deepen, and each piece gradually becomes unique to its owner over time. This natural evolution sits at the heart of our design philosophy, influencing every decision from the materials we choose to the way each product is completely handmade. Every cut, stitch, and finish is completed with patience and intention, never rushed or mass produced.

I've spent countless hours researching, trialling, and experimenting with leathers sourced from around the world in order to select the very best hides for each product we create. Each leather is chosen not only for its appearance, but for how it feels in the hand, how it performs with daily use, and the character it develops over time. Below is some more information about the different leathers we use and what makes each one unique.

Utility Covers

Our Utility Covers combine two carefully selected leathers within each colourway — a foundational hide that forms the core of the piece, paired with a complementary accent leather that adds contrast, depth, and character. The foundation hides are tanned locally in Australia using Australian cattle, celebrating locally sourced material and traditional tanning methods.

The accent leather on our Espresso and Pitch Black editions is full vegetable-tanned and sourced from a renowned tannery in Italy, chosen for its refined finish, depth of colour, and exceptional aging qualities. It has a softly textured, slightly waxed surface that burnishes beautifully with use, developing a rich, varied patina over time and revealing lighter undertones at points of wear for a lived-in, evolving character. It truely is one of a kind. 

The natural option is also full vegetable-tanned, but left in its traditional undyed finish, showcasing the raw character of the hide which will gradually develop a warm, organic patina over time. It features a smoother, more refined surface and has been lightly treated with a premium conditioning finish to encourage an even patina while offering a subtle level of protection against water marks and everyday wear, without compromising the natural feel or look of the leather.
